Xantrex MPPT60 Panel wiring configuration.
Hi,

I have 14 Kyocera KC175GT panels and I plan to hook it up to a Xantrex MPPT 60A charge controller. I havent bought the battery bank yet but I want to arrange the panels to be in the most efficient configuration.  I chose the charge controller because I'm planning to combine it with the Xantrex XW6048 but thats another story.  I also went to the Xantrex website and found there sizing tool and really didnt understand the outcome.  http://www.xantrex.com/support/xwsizing/Default.aspx.  I put in my information.  I plan on doing at 24v battery bank.
So if I'm understanding this correctly?  strings are parallel? and the number of modules is series?

My second question:
I also have 8 Suntech STP175 panels.  Can I combine these panels using the same charge controller as the panels above?  or should it be mounted separately?  Can I put 2 diferent charge controllers on the same battery bank?  ex.  Xantrex MPPT60 and Xantrex c40?

Thanks in advance for your responses.  Trying to go green but need a little help doing so.

The XW6048 is a 48vdc inverter. It will not work on a 24vdc battery bank. You will either have to go with the XW4024, or plan on a 48vdc battery bank.

Hello, I'm new at this as well but from what I've learned so far is
the 48 volt system is best, that's what I'm going with and you need to have a separate controller for a different PV array.
